Rick Pendlebury “like a sexual predator” the Maggie Oliver Foundation accused of a cover up

A video has circulated on X (twitter) from user @DannikaStewart accusing ex GMP Police officer, Rick Pendlebury of grooming young survivors of the Maggie Oliver Foundation. Rick was recently dismissed from his position at the Foundtion, as ‘HEAD OF SAFEGUARDING“.

We were aware of this story some time ago, but were unable to release anything due to the rights of the victims.

It is understood that Greater Manchester Police were alse aware.

Manchester CID recently arrested Rick Pendlebury for illegally disclosing the identity of one of the survivors on twitter is a revenge attack.

Rick is currently on police bail.

In the video, and clearly distressed, Dannika accuses Maggie Oliver of being “as bad as the men in the Rochdale Grooming Gangs“.

Dannika says, “I was there, I seen it, I went on a night out, referring to after a Vera Baird review meeting.

During this event, Rick Pendlebury had breached other survivors personal data, resulting in a formal complaint that Maggie Oliver is accused of covering up,  before Rick departed the charity, suggesting he resigned.

Dannika Says “Rick Pendlebury was like a sexual predator, he was plying another young woman with drink, he was like a sexual predator, he tried to leave with her”

Dannika goes on to say the Rick Pendlebury also tried to leave with her.

Astonishingly, Rick was the head of safeguarding, even though Maggie Oliver and Jennie Lucas were both aware he was previously dismissed from Greater Manchester Police for gross misconduct, for data breach offences.

Rick had access to up to as many as 2,000 survivors person details. Dannika says “Rick would disclose data about other victims to me

Sinister text messages from Rick to Dannika have since been release, read here claiming Rick was ‘paid off by Maggie Oliver in a undisclosed ‘sweetener’.

Dannika says “Maggie found out about the incident months later“, Maggie was also aware of other allegations against Rick.

The Charity Commission are aware of matters surrounding Rick Pendlebury, but have so far failed to implement their own policies for safeguarding.

In a response from Amanda Rees of the Charity Commission, she said

You were informed that we were assured appropriate action had already been taken by the charity and therefore we would not be contacting the trustees at this time.

As the Regulator of Charities, our role is to establish whether there are regulatory concerns or issues and whether it is proportionate for us to act.

Yet, on the Charity Commisions website, it states,

Failure by trustees to sufficiently manage safeguarding risks is of serious regulatory concern to the Commission and may be considered to be misconduct and/or mismanagement. It can also damage public trust and confidence in charities and impact upon the sector as a whole.

Given the safeguarding risks were known and never managed, and that there is an apparant ‘pay off’ to protect the interests of the Charity, this is a regulatory matter.

Dannika says that the Maggie Oliver Foundation “PAID OFF” Rick with a Non-Disclosue agreement.
