A former Greater Manchester police officer and ex-member of staff at The Maggie Oliver Foundation has been charged by GMP for identifying a sexual abuse survivor on Social Media.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that Rick Pendlebury will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on July 1, 2025.

He was handling my case at TMOF, relating to a case I was going through with a corrupt cop who got sacked for abuse of position for sexual purpose. I never knew about his past as a sacked cop. If I had have known, I wouldn’t have shared anything that happened to me with him. He literally ‘disappeared’ mid case and never had any explanation.
How did this go?
I heard he pleaded Not guilty. A case management hearing is listed for September.
I believe there was some issues at the court, that Ricks solicitor complained that there were people in the public gallery, saying his hearing was supposed to be anonymous, they cleared the court room has it was dealt with in private. I am not sure this is legal.
